Obayd holds a BCom degree (Stellenbosch University). He started his career in the Financial Services industry with Ernst & Young and later Alexander Forbes. Obayd has successfully led deal teams that raised over R4bn in acquisition capital from both Commercial Banks, Developmental Funding Institutions and Private Equity Investors.
